Permaculture Design Certificate

We are delighted to offer the opportunity to learn about farm-scale permaculture design, using Irongate Farm as a living example. 

Learn how to create a future-proof farm for resilient food production, based on ethical permaculture design applied to a whole, regenerative farm. This course is designed for farmers, land workers and landowners who wish to implement permaculture as a means to tackle climate change, resource depletion and socio-political challenges. 

This is a unique opportunity to be part of Irongate Farm’s own permaculture journey, with the option to be involved in implementing aspects of the course on the land itself. 

The course will be led by Hannah Thorogood of Inkpot Farm and Pasture for Life, and a host of guest tutors who will bring their own permaculture farm design experience. You will become part of the inaugural cohort of permaculture learners at GroundSchool, and a community of like-minded farmer peers for troubleshooting and mentorship.

Participants will also gain an internationally recognised, accredited Permaculture Design Certificate. 

The course will operate over 12 days spread out over 9 months, see below for full list of dates. 

The fee includes all tuition, course materials, site visits, certificate and lunch on teaching days. Where there are back-to-back teaching days, we will organise social event in the evening to encourage peer-to-peer connection.

Accommodation and travel are not included, so we will ask participants to organise their own local accommodation. There will be an option to camp at Irongate Farm if desired.
